I'm needing a venting hole, creative outlet, something, so the blog is up again.
SO much has happened in the last 16 months, some good, some bad, but I want to focus on now... and plan for tomorrow... no going backwards. Learn from the past but live for the now. Now... I just finished a really good salad: spinach leaves, romaine lettuce, broccolini, jack cheese, green onions, avocado, and mango slices. I topped it off with a slightly sweet Vidalia Onion Dressing. That's my now.
Scooby Doo in the background while the kids wind down for a nap, Matt out getting the car smogged, and me, right here and now. They kids probably won't go down for a nap as I hoped. KJ is getting too old for naps. She is six now, as she constantly reminds me. And Max ran out of his meds before the refill was processed so I am trying to remain calm to help bring him back down every 3 minutes. I will either call Matt home for backup and a sanity break, or I will have to take them out for a run around the lake. (sigh) I'm not feeling well still so walking sounds like was too much energy being spent that I just don't have. I'm working on that one, more energy.
I have tried 3 times to get up early to get a decent workout in. Hasn't happened yet, but I want to keep making it a priority. I once use the Wii Fit and track what I do, what I weigh, all of it. With the Wii I can add yoga, stretching, core strengthening, dance aerobics, and fun activities such as chasing a dog around a park. It was working. Then we moved from our house in with my mother while she was on chemo. No schedule has been conducive to exercising since then. Now I have the time, I just have to make it a priority to actually happen. Motivation is not my strong suit when it comes to working out. I'm Working on it...
I feel like I have lost my friends. We live so far from most of them. Work, Kids, and being here at Sharon's doesn't make any time or opportunity for hanging out just visiting. It feels isolating at times, but then I can't say I am that fun of a person to be around these days either. One more thing to make a priority. See my friends. Spend time with other adults, other parents, other's who know my crazy world and love me anyways.
Geeezzzzz.... when I read back up through what I have written, it sounds like such a personal pity party!!! (laughing) I do have a lot to be thankful for. My kids are healthy and academically thriving! I'm still married! I live in a nice house in a wonderful neighborhood with a great school for my kids! Kelly & Jean SO VERY GENEROUSLY gave us their Saturn since they were given a new vehicle. Two cars makes such a difference! I have a job, just part time, but at least something!! Matt is over half done with his degree. And it's getting warmer outside! We miss the boat and the beach! We can't wait to get back to both!
Here are the most recent pics of the kids:
KJ & Max
This was just a day or two ago when we went for a walk.
Here is Mike at Easter first with his girlfriend Kathleen, and then with the little ones:
Apparently, he twisted his ankle and popped his shoulder out of socket playing softball just a week after the picture above. Two accident prone boys I have!! Oh, and my own Tim Taylor hubby!!! So glad we have Kaiser!!!
Until next time....
